+A far distant future in a near-hard science fiction setting with a post-human populace, the main cast and crew are dealing with Humanity's own approach to Singularity as an unknown, artificial, extragalactic threat looms on the horizon.   Faster than light travel is indisputably impossible, mankind has circumvented this by mastering Einstein-Rosen bridges.  These portals are everything from power sources for handheld electronics to interplanetary gateways.  for over a thousand years we've been flinging these portals to the void, and world after world has joined the portal network, only the strange thing is... no world has been found to show any signs that it has ever held life.
